Please know that the play on words was entirely intentional. Those lovely breasts were in fact ‘killing’ me. My name is Deborah Dennison and I am a breast cancer survivor who wrote a book about my experiences. Following my diagnosis, I jumped into a whole new way of living! I researched and gathered information to keep my initial panic at bay. I discovered a whole world of integrative and alternative treatments for breast cancer. I became familiar with nutritionists, both holistic and naturopathic, reflexology, meditation and and energy specialists. However, above all, I adopted a very strong and determined belief that given the right tools, my body would guide me to wellness. I wrote my book, My Breasts Were Killing Me!, to share what I did with the intention of helping others. My experiences were a wee bit off the beaten path. I chose to include many integrative and alternative therapies, intended to work with, not against my physicians. In addition, I needed the net proceeds to go to breast cancer support. There are so many of us who will discover a ‘mass’ and wonder what on earth to do next.
